Description
A diary of my birding activity covering highlights and photos from my birding adventures. Mainly Norfolk (UK), occasionally beyond. I might mention the odd thing that isn't avian, but for moth and other insect news check out my mothing diary.

Great Grey Shrike
Today's lunch break took me to Wolferton where a quick drive round the triangle produced my first butterfly of the year (a Brimstone) but no Golden Pheasants. I didn't give it long before deciding to pop down to Roydon Common before heading back to work. From the car park the Great Grey Shrike was visible but I was looking at it through a shocking heat haze. Still, nice to have the spring-like weather that produced the haze.
